ARTISAN

About the ARTISAN Program

Accelerating Research Translation Integrated Student Ambassador Network (ARTISAN) is an initiative within the NSF Accelerating Research Translation (ART) program. The program at George Mason aims to engage students in translational research, raise awareness of the importance of translating research and technology into use-inspired applications with significant societal impact, and enhance the educational experience through innovation and community engagement.

The initiative aims to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking, transforming student attitudes toward research that serves the public good—both socially and economically.

Each year, selected students will serve as ARTISANs, gaining a holistic understanding of research translation, hands-on experience, and leadership skills that promote personal and professional growth.
