Countering Transnational Organized Crime
The Criminal Investigations and Network Analysis Center (CINA), was a multidisciplinary academic consortium led by George Mason University that pursued innovative strategies and solutions to advance criminal network analysis, forensics, and investigative processes. On November 9, 2025, CINA became a legacy program of George Mason’s Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Impact (ORIEI). During the eight years of CINA’s existence, researchers developed tools and technologies, as well as innovative educational and training solutions to advance our nation’s abilities to counter transnational criminal activities. CINA was a DHS Center of Excellence, and was sponsored by the Science and Technology Directorate’s Office of University Programs.
